“Oily appearance” OG OSOK Chakal Cigar by Edgar Hoill.
Brand History
Famous photojournalist Edgar Hoill has opened up the vault to nearly a decade worth of his work and created both his own clothing brand (O.S.O.K.), as well as his own cigar line. For those familiar with his sell-out galleries and international presence, his pieces have adorned the walls of galleries, Hollywood A-listers and everyday people.
O.S.O.K. stands for “One Shot One Kill,” and represents his ability to never miss a shot with his camera – just like a sniper. He is famous for his ability to convey powerful messages through his urban photography – scenes that may otherwise be construed as horrific or notorious reveal their true beauty through his craftsmanship.
Hoill has returned to the cigar business in the form of EH Cigars, a new company in association with Christian Eiroa. Available in three unique vitolas, EH Cigars’ debut line is a complex and full-bodied Nicaraguan puro.

Appearance:
The Carnalito has a very smooth wrapper with an oily appearance. It is sweet smelling with no visible seams and was firm to the touch.

Journey Profile:
1st quarter: An open draw gave plenty of thick smoke through to the palate with ease. It had a straightforward full flavor profile with some spicy cocoa notes. Lots of earthiness came through to the palate as well. 2nd quarter: More spices were present in the nose, eventually becoming very creamy with rich tobacco notes. A slow and even burn created a long and flaky ash as a floral aroma filled the surrounding air. 3rd quarter: The cigar never became soft or spongy. An easy draw produced big clouds of dense smoke with consistent spices through the nose. There were some noticeably sweet flavors on the palate. 4th quarter: Heavy earth, cocoa and spice notes were present. Its excellent construction delivered an even burn and a long, light gray ash. Spices came through the nose with full flavor and strength. .
.
Final Thoughts:
The OG OSOK Carnalito is very flavorful with a slow build in strength and body. It offers pleasant earthy and tobacco notes with both a long lasting finish and spices through the nose. It is extremely well made with great overall construction..
