Valentia Torpedo

Valentia Cigars is an iconic brand of claro premium puros, handmade in the Dominican Republic. The finest tobacco leaves are selected in the fertile Cibao valley, the heartland of the Dominican Republic, to create the flavorful blend and rich aroma of Valentia Cigars. These leaves are then aged and hand-rolled by craftsmen with generations of experience in the art of shaping quality puros.

The essence of this unique cigar, with its remarkably smooth blend and exceptional burn, is rooted in the careful selection of tobacco to be used in each part of the process; the ideal aging of the leaves; and the skill of masters in the best tradition of cigar-making.  These special blends are formulated with the personality of each Valentia product in mind. The perfect combination of leaves is not the result of improvisation, but rather of the instinct that comes with lineage.  Experts trace their roots to a long line of artisans in both Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

The color of Valentia tobacco reflects the red earth of the West Indies, the golden hues of tropical sunlight, and the shade of a lush valley cradled between the mountains of the Caribbean.

That being said, this is a mild bodied cigar overall.  The torpedo has a light and silky wrapper with an oily sheen.  You will find plenty of spicy flavors on your palate right from the beginning.  It is well-rounded with a good complexity and a rich barnyard aroma.  The construction of this cigar is excellent – it has an even burn that produces a nice, long ash.  The smoke is not too dense and it is filled with a lot of spicy flavors that are consistent the entire way through.  You can enjoy this great cigar for at least an hour – it is a must try, so go and get one!
