Camacho Triple Maduro Torpedo

Here’s a little Triple Maduro history…After nine months of blending five different Maduro varieties, Christian Eiroa perfected the Camacho Triple Maduro – a cigar that is truly all Maduro. While we know that these dark and delicious power-packed smokes are handmade in the Jamastran Valley of Honduras, and that the wrapper, binder, and filler are all Maduro, the Eiroas have kept quiet about the exact makeup of this blend, which provides a well-balanced taste and even burn intermingled with intense, robust flavors of spicy sweetness. It starts out with a bang and mellows slightly as it burns, all the while maintaining its richness. Definitely a Maduro-lover’s fantasy come true, and a must-try for the seasoned cigar smoker looking for a deep, satisfying, full-bodied experience.

This cigar has an excellent color with a thick, deep brown (almost black) wrapper that has a nice, oily feel. Toasting and lighting the cigar was really easy and you can definitely taste the sweetness on your palette. This is a very complex cigar and not for your beginner smokers. There were notes of dark chocolate and some peppery flavor. I am a fan of Maduro sticks and I must say this is one is quite good. Its ashes were impressive at the beginning and through the middle of the body; however, I did start to get an uneven burn as some of the wrapper started to unravel after a few relights.

With a triple Maduro I was expecting a very strong peppery taste and spiciness on my palette but it was nicely blended from start to end. You can taste the unique bold flavor in this cigar from its years of fermenting. A well-constructed cigar with a good draw, a thick plume of smoke, and a great aroma of sweet and spicy.
