The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 15 Years Old is a lighter style Macallan with a more complex character crafted in a triple cask combination of European and American Sherry-seasoned oak casks and American ex-bourbon oak casks. The Blaze Report:

Appearance:

This cigar had a gorgeous looking oily, deep brown colored wrapper with an enticing pre-light nose filled with cocoa, floral and some rich hints of hay-like aromas.  The Insidious was solid to touch and felt great in the hand.

1st Third:

So yes solid tot the touch with an effortlessly smooth draw.  The smoke had a mouthwatering texture with a full, enticing aroma filled with nuts, spices, floral tones and sweetness on the back end of each puff.

2nd Third:

The sweet tone continues to carry over to the taste and lingering on the palate through the finish.  There’s some sweet like notes and nuttiness in the smell as well.  The aroma really stood out on these rich and luring characters of the cigar.

The aroma continued to intensify as the cigar was smoked becoming full and rich with the cocoa notes becoming more present.  It had blunt spicy notes in the nose for the first half of the cigar, which settled down revealing a more creamy texture during the second half.  Lingering pepper notes through the finish continued.

Final Thoughts:

Outstanding burn and overall construction from beginning to the end.  This cigar offered amazing well-round flavors on the palate with complexity and a beautiful aroma.  Medium to full body most of the way through with a long and flavorful finish.  Outstanding with pleasant flavors that were delightful on the palate yet was able to deliver a full flavored and good body experience with an enticing flavor journey.
