Ezra Zion Tantrum PA Box Press Cigar “Little Baby Powerhouse”
Ezra Zion Cigar Company started from a simple idea – focusing on a cigar as an experience and not just merchandise. They strive for perfection and have had great success with their use of rare and vintage tobaccos.
The Ezra Zion Tantrum cigar is the third line released by the company. It is also Ezra Zion’s first limited edition line and there were only 1,500 boxes rolled.
The Tantrum has an attractive, evenly colored brown wrapper with a slit that is reddish in color. It is very smooth with minimum veins and seams – an overall nice looking box-pressed shape with an oily sheen. The pre-light smell is full and rich.
Tantrum produced a fairly full aroma right away and it continued throughout the cigar. Its draw delivers many full flavored characters, and it had a slow burn and nice draw. The cigar held on to almost a 3 inch solid ash. Midway through, there was pickup in the spiciness that lasted almost to the cap of the cigar. The smoke itself has some creamy texture through the mouth and you will continue to catch the spice flavors in the nose.
The Ezra Zion Tantrum is a medium-full body cigar with tastes of earthiness and spicy notes. Its overall construction is excellent. Definitely a cigar you will want more and more of. The Tantrum is packed with lots of flavor and complexity – a baby powerhouse cigar that is a very special treat.
