J.D. Howard Reserve HR50 Cigars #21

20140630_181829

J.D. Howard was the alias used by Jesse James after he went into isolation after an infamous bank robbery in Nashville, Tennessee. J.D. Howard Reserve blend was created to capture the juxtaposition and contradiction of this famous outlaw – its character is bold yet refined; its flavor profile is simple yet complex. The wrapper is rich and dark with an oily finish, and it has a very smooth draw with complex flavors and dense smoke. It meets your palate with a spicy pepper rush and leaves it with subtly sweet cocoa notes – I noticed these immediately. There is also some creaminess and earthiness that maintains throughout the smoke. It is a rugged yet balanced smoke that is medium in body and full in taste. Overall, the J.D. Howard Reserve is a very well-made cigar that I would highly recommend.
