The new Room101 Ichiban Series inspired by Matt Booth
LOS ANGELES, CA – JANUARY 21, 2015 – Room101, the Los Angeles based luxury lifestyle brand owned by Matt Booth, isproud to announce a new bespoke retailer exclusive series, the new Room101Ichiban. The first of the Ichiban Series, a Tiburon 44 x 6, will be headed toSmokin’ Joe’s & Old City Cigar in Knoxville, TN and is expected to be onshelves Janu…ary 28th.
The cigar ismedium-bodied and comprised of tobaccos from two different countries; a Habano
wrapper from Ecuador, Criollo 98 binder from Nicaragua, along with Corojo 99fillers also from Nicaragua. Packaging for the Ichiban borrows inspiration froma few previous Room101 releases and features tissue- wrapped cigars bound indecorative outer sleeves with the distinctive Sakura brand mark and a Japanesewave pattern.
“The new Room101 IchibanSeries is one in a handful of blends that has earned the right to bear ourSakura brand mark, something I take very seriously. It is one of our finerworks over the past five years and a recipe that I have been holding close fora while; waiting for the right time, the right project and the right people toshare it with,” said Matt Booth.
Ichiban, which means“first” or “number one”, will be Room101’s most tightly distributed andexclusive release to date. Only eight hand-selected retailers across thecountry are able to carry the line, each with 10,000 cigars custom developed inan exclusive format.
The Room101 Ichiban 44 x6, available exclusively at Smokin’ Joe’s and Old City Cigar, is set to retailfor $8.69 per cigar and comes in 10-count boxes.
