Kings Cigars Conde Cigar Review “Taste The Royalty”

ScreenShot038

Brand History:

The leader of this self-proclaimed “Brothers of the Leaf,” Anwar Mithavayani eventually challenged his friends to embark on a new career path so they could more intimately
embrace their passion for cigars and the cigar lifestyle. Once they agreed, KINGS Cigars was born.

The foundation for this new venture actually began as early as 2010 with the original founders Anwar and Randy, at the Ahi Bar in Santiago, Dominican, where they would smoke cigars and drink rum long into the night, formulating the business model for their fledgling company.

Eventually, after several years of blending, aging and perfecting their finished tobacco-wrapped jewels, KINGS Cigar was officially launched during the 2013 International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers (IPCPR) Association’s annual event in Las Vegas. The feedback from the show was nothing short of stellar and their mission had been accomplished – to create flawless cigars using the finest aged binder and filler tobacco, complimented with the ultimate wrapper to attain KINGS perfection.

While the company obtains an inventory of the finest tobacco (cultivated on several continents) aging in their factories in Santiago, Dominican Republic and Esteli, Nicaragua, their corporate headquarters is located in the United States (Pompano Beach, Florida).

The theme of the company’s cigars is derived from its namesake – KINGS – and is reflected in their passion for the savory blends they’ve developed to achieve that “taste of royalty.” KINGS Cigars meticulously cultivates the tobacco and handles the finished cigars with a respect that ultimately rewards you with a truly royal cigar smoking experience.

Appearance:

This cigar was covered with a hearty, toothy, dark brown wrapper that had a nice oily sheen. Its appearance was truly rustic with some large veins running through. There was a big tobacco aroma present on the pre-light with hints of spiciness at the foot.

Journey Profile:

1st quarter: Once lit, the cigar offered a light, spicy note in the aroma and in the taste. The draw was extremely smooth with no resistance, and the flavors were rich with some earthy notes.   2nd quarter:I noticed some rich cocoa and earthy notes along with a creamy texture that carried over into the flavor. The aroma had a sweet tone with some underlying spiciness throughout. Its great flavors continued to build slowly, culminating into a medium body.   3rd quarter: The smoke was dense in its texture, offering a peppery spice and some sweet notes. It both burned and smoked great and delivered full flavor.   4th quarter: The cigar remained easy to enjoy, never growing too complex but still loaded with awesome flavor.

Final Thoughts:

The KINGS Cigar Conde offered forward flavors with a good peppery taste that held a long ash. Its overall construction was great and its outstanding aroma only increased as the cigar developed. It is a medium to almost full cigar that was consistent throughout – a truly great profile of distinct flavors
