OSOK Lancero Cigar By Edgar Hoill “Amazing and Epic”

Brand History:

Famous photojournalist Edgar Hoill has opened up the vault to nearly a decade worth of his work and created both his own clothing brand (O.S.O.K.), as well as his own cigar line. For those familiar with his sell-out galleries and international presence, his pieces have adorned the walls of galleries, Hollywood A-listers and everyday people.

O.S.O.K. stands for “One Shot One Kill,” and represents his ability to never miss a shot with his camera – just like a sniper. He is famous for his ability to convey powerful messages through his urban photography – scenes that may otherwise be construed as horrific or notorious reveal their true beauty through his craftsmanship.

Hoill has returned to the cigar business in the form of EH Cigars, a new company in association with Christian Eiroa. Available in three unique vitolas, EH Cigars’ debut line is a complex and full-bodied Nicaraguan puro.

Appearance:

The Lancero Limited has a very exquisite shape with an amazing pre-light aroma. Its rich looking, oily brown wrapper with a subtle but rich pre-light aroma.

Journey Profile:

1st quarter: Once lit the Lancero Limited provided a huge aroma that fill the air. Rich like earthy notes and some cocoa tones were starting to release.  2nd quarter: Some creamy texture on the palate are being detected with a nice amount of spiciness through the nose that’s starting to intensify.   3rd quarter: Excellent burn with a long light gray ash and very good construction. Here we have an incredibly smooth draw and plenty of great aroma in the air. Very clean earthy character with more great texture of cocoa and spice in the flavor of the aroma.   4th quarter: The Lancero Limited continued to intensify from medium to full with a long full finish. A nice even and slow burn with big earthy aroma.

Final Thoughts:

The cigar had great construction overall with a smooth draw and an even burn. Medium-full body with a full and rich aroma. Fairly consistent, but intensified as the journey went on. The cigar was quite tasty and enjoyable for any Smokin’ Joe to have.
