Upmann is an extraordinary cigar generations in the making.

The H. Upmann brand is crafted by Altadis U.S.A. The Banker has a hearty brown wrapper that is rich looking and both smooth and solid to the touch. There is a great mild earthy aroma on the pre-light that is very noticeable.

Journey Profile:

1st quarter: Starting off with a very smooth and creamy texture to the palate, there was a touch of spice in the smoke. It produced a mild earthy aroma that filled the air.   2nd quarter: There were big earthy and tones with a lot of rich tobacco notes. There was only the slightest bit of resistance on the draw, and it still delivered effortless clouds of creamy and thick smoke to the palate that left good spice on the finish.   3rd quarter: The cigar had a slow burn that produced a dense, dark gray ash. It developed very good tobacco flavors with a slightly fading spice and a touch of coffee notes.   4th quarter: The flavors and aroma continued to intensify into full, rich, slightly sweet notes. There is a full and complex character with a very long finish.

Final Thoughts:

The Banker cigar by H. Upmann is an overall medium body that offers a great aroma throughout and a long, flavorful finish. It is extremely well made and full of rich flavors. It was effortless to smoke and overall a great cigar.
