Reinado Grand Empire Cigar Review “highly rated Reinado blends”
Brand History:
The Reinado brand was founded by Antonio Lam, a man of Cuban and Chinese heritage. Antonio’s creativity and astute business savvy are traits that have proven to be key components in the success of the brand. Having an uncle who meticulously rolled cigars in his native Cuba, his thirst was fueled for the rich culture found within the tobacco industry.
His path led him to the fields of Nicaragua, where premium crops of tobacco were thriving and opportunity beckoned. Antonio partnered with a small factory that produced quality cigars and had a selection of well-aged tobacco. He began developing blends, as well as developing a signature fermentation that enriches and creates a smooth experience.
From this was born the soon-to-be highly rated Reinado blends. Building his dream and relationships, the company continues to grow in a targeted manner with consistency and premium quality being their main focus.
Appearance:
The Reinado Grand Empire has a very attractive brown oily wrapper. It is solid to the touch, with a silky smoothness. A big pre-light aroma at the foot. The wrapper gives off a full and rich earthy smell.
Journey Profile:
1st quarter: An effortless and very smooth draw allowed plenty of smoke through to the palate. Spice through the nose with thick, sweet tobacco notes. Plenty of earthy tones dominated the palate with some creamy smoke through. 2nd quarter: Earthy flavors remained consistently thick with a creamy texture. Some sweetness was noted in the aroma. It maintained an even burn and produced a dense ash. Full and very rich characteristics with more rich tobacco notes presenting. 3rd quarter: Flavor carried over, with spice developing through and lingered on the palate. Dense clouds of smoke continued to fill the air with a very rich aroma. A light spice developed through the nose. 4th quarter: Medium-body overall with a lot with spice and a long finish. Cigar holding onto a white solid ash. Lots of flavor with bold characters. Some underlying sweetness on the palate, along with a touch of creamy texture to the smoke through the mouth.
Final Thoughts:
The cigar offered a lot of flavor with a bold character and a great medium body. There was an earthiness texture with luring rich and bold notes of tobacco. Very well-made cigar with a lot of flavor and great aroma.
