Joya de Nicaragua extends its Modern Lineup with

JOYA SILVER.

National Release of Silver Shines on JOYA Family of Cigars

Thursday, July 5, 2018 — The Joya line-up represents the adventurous and non-traditional side of the Most Nicaraguan Cigar. With it, JDN has pushed the limits of our factory and showcased the many sides of our people and products, varying from mellow and flavorful blends like Joya Cabinetta, going through fun and friendly cigars like Joya Red, and more sophisticated complex like Black.

The national release of Joya Silver is a shining representation in the Joya family of our continuous quest for a truly unforgettable smoke. Silver is a box pressed cigar that delivers a dynamic complexity of fresh spice, chocolate and cherry notes. Its oscuro upper-priming wrapper showcases the perfect complement between the richness of the Nicaraguan fillers and the refined sweetness of the Ecuador grown wrapper and Mexican binder. The result is a medium to full body smoke that achieves an indulging matching of flavors.

“With each Joya, we’ve aimed to cater to modern aficionados by accompanying them through their smoking journey, from beginners to connoisseurs; the line-up represents an evolution of flavor and complexity, each blend being a distinct and peculiar perspective of Nicaraguan tobacco interfused with leaves from other origins. Another feature of our Joya line is that it comes at incredible retail price. With Joya Silver we’re expanding this experience with a medium to full blend,” said Juan Martínez, Joya de Nicaragua Executive President. He continued, “Together with already popular Joya variants, Silver will continue to generate excitement among modern smokers and make their taste exploration much more rewarding.”

“In the year of our 50th anniversary, we want to be recognized as a cigar factory that delivers the expected timeless quality of a Nicaraguan cigar, but that is also willing to evolve and take on new challenges. On top of creating a cigar for the Joya Line with a more complex flavor profile, we wanted to create a strong visual impact. Joya Silver’s packaging is probably the edgiest in our portfolio, making it a smoke that shines.” said Mario Pérez, Joya de Nicaragua’s General Manager.

JOYA SILVER will be available in four sizes:

  • Ultra 6 1⁄4 x 46, MSRP $6.30/stick
  • Toro 6 x 52, MSRP $7.80/stick
  • Corona 5 1⁄4 x 42, MSRP $6.30/stick
  • Robusto 5 x 50, MSRP $7.10/stick

JOYA SILVER will be available to all US retail shops during the upcoming IPCPR 86th Annual Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas in July 2018. As usual, Drew Estate will distribute the brand in the USA as part of our exclusive agreement. SILVER will also be available worldwide through our International Marketing Division and JDN’s partners.
