News: COHIBA SPECTRE!
The artisans of Cohiba are proud to debut the third expression of COHIBA SPECTRE, a small batch creation that elevates the art and science of cigar making.

Born of a passion for the craft, Cohiba Spectre features four varietals of tobacco, each paying homage to the growing regions, soils and microclimates from which they have been harvested. When met with proprietary aging and fermentation techniques, the tobaccos that comprise Cohiba Spectre tell a story of luxurious indulgence.
Sean Williams, brand ambassador for Cohiba said, “Cohiba Spectre continues our tradition of creating exceptional smoking experiences. Our blending expertise, passion for tobacco, and commitment to craftsmanship and creativity are on full display with Spectre. As with its predecessors, this offering is uniquely representative of our rarest tobacco. Spectre is quite simply, a cigar that can never be replicated.”
Handcrafted in Santiago, Dominican Republic at General Cigar Dominicana, Cohiba Spectre is crowned with an Ecuadoran Habano wrapper prized for its complexity and lustrous appearance. The extraordinary leaves underwent a secondary fermentation process lasting six months, during which time the tobacco’s allure was deepened.
The binder is a wrapper-quality, Connecticut broadleaf grown exclusively for Cohiba in the Connecticut River Valley.
The blend speaks to the highest art of tobacco mastery. Dominican Piloto Cubano, aged in tercios since its 2014 harvest, is configured at the center of the bunch, flanked by Nicaraguan Jalapa leaves from the 2017 crop. The hand-selected Nicaraguan leaves were aged in Spanish Sherry barrels to impart a rich aroma and a delicate undercurrent of sweetness. The earthy notes, nuances of wood and subtle spice of the blend deliver a remarkable smoking experience.
This is a cigar of refinement, with aesthetics that are simply flawless. A mere 500 boxes of Cohiba Spectre have been produced, and the exquisite cigars are made by just one roller, Ms. Xirolma Céspedes and one buncher, Mr. Ruben Dario Perez Peña. Representing a combined expertise spanning nearly five decades, these artisans are revered for their exceptional dexterity and meticulous attention to detail.
To ensure that the tobacco mastery and craft of Cohiba Spectre are fully realized, the blend has been made in a singular size, a 6.5” x 52 called Toro. The cigars are presented in a refined, soft-touch matte box, in which ten cigars are housed. A box of Cohiba Spectre can be purchased at select retailers for $1199.90, and individual cigars will sell for $119.99. Cohiba Spectre will begin shipping on November 23, 2021.

Cohiba Spectre was released in 2018 and sold out on the day of its debut. The second expression of the brand launched in 2019 and was met with a similar response. As the third expression of Spectre was created to exalt this tradition of excellence, the artisans of Cohiba opted for a 2021 premiere.
