Fort Lauderdale, FL – (February 13, 2023)

Alec Bradley Cigar Company announced today that the Limited Edition Black Market Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock cigars are now shipping to appointed tobacconists.

Alec Bradley began pre-selling the 2000 box production and 1500 box production of the twenty-four count Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole and 10-count Filthy Hooligan Shamrock cigars, respectively, in August 2022 to tobacconists worldwide. Both production runs sold out almost immediately.

“We only use choice candela,” said second generation cigarmaker Bradley Rubin. “Barber Pole and Shamrock remain limited editions because the bright green tobacco we use needs to stay consistent from one production run to the next. Each year cigar enthusiasts revisit the Hooligan series to experience our candela’s natural sweetness and unique flavor profile.”

Black Market Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole was introduced in 2016 and Black Market Filthy Hooligan Shamrock was introduced in 2019. Both cigars spotlight premium, ‘first grow’ bright green candela wrapper tobacco, representing the arrival of the spring season. The dual-wrapper Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole receives an additional lush, cocoa colored Nicaraguan Jalapa leaf to add richness and balance to the blend. The candela leaf on Filthy Hooligan Shamrock is accentuated by Nicaraguan Habano Maduro and Habano Natural wrappers for additional complexity throughout the smoking experience. The wrapper combinations are set atop the same blend of Ecuadorian binder and Panamanian & Honduran fillers, shared with the original Alec Bradley Black Market.

Both cigars are presented in the 6″ X 50 ring gauge, Toro shape. Filthy Hooligan Barber Pole is packaged in an attractive green and black striped box containing 24 cigars and will retail for $11.50 per cigar. Filthy Hooligan Shamrock is displayed in an alluring grey box, featuring a large shamrock on the top of the lid, containing 10 cigars and will retail for $13.65 per cigar. Both stated prices are for the US market, before any applicable excise or sales tax; international pricing will vary.

“I’m extremely proud of the Filthy Hooligan series,” Mr. Rubin continued. “A little known fact – Shamrock was actually my first project at Alec Bradley.”

First created as a gift from Rubin brothers, Alec and Bradley, to their father, Alec Bradley founder Alan Rubin, the sampler contains 8 cigars sized at 4 1/4″ X 60 ring gauge. Uniting two cigars each of Alan’s Black Market and Magic Toast blends with two cigars each of Alec & Bradley’s Gatekeeper and Kintsugi blends, only 2000 samplers will be produced. Chunk sizes of Gatekeeper and Kintsugi are exclusive to this sampler, while Black Market Chunk’s regular production is limited to Canada. Magic Toast Chunk is a globally available item. Alec Bradley is pre-selling the samplers exclusively to US appointed tobacconists now, with shipping scheduled for the end of May, ahead of the Father’s Day sale season. MSRP has been set to $74.95 per sampler.
