Attendees of Total Product Expo 2023 Get Sneak Peek of the First Diamond Shaped Gatekeeper
Las Vegas, NV (February 22, 2023)
Alec Bradley Cigar Company today debuted the Limited Edition Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper Diamond Press at Total Product Expo (TPE) 2023, going on now through February 24, 2023, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. Utilizing the (Cigar Aficionado 95 Point, #7 ‘Cigar of the Year’ 2020) Gatekeeper blend, only a mere 1500 boxes of Gatekeeper Diamond Press are being produced. Each diamond-shaped box, luxuriously painted in black and gold, will cradle sixteen, 6 ¼” x 54 ring-gauge, Gatekeeper Diamond Press cigars. Tobacconists attending TPE were given the first chance to secure reservations.
“My father Alan, brother Alec and I have been asked more times than I can count about making a Gatekeeper Diamond,” said second generation cigarmaker, Bradley Rubin. “We’re humbled to have the opportunity to bring a cigar to market that we already know will be highly coveted.”
The Gatekeeper Diamond Press is based on the award-winning Gatekeeper blend used to construct the four traditional vitolas in the regular-production line. For the Diamond iteration though, percentages have been slightly tweaked for an optimal smoking experience and to account for the unique compression required to make Alec Bradley’s signature diamond shape. Gatekeeper features a dark, cocoa-colored Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, sitting a top choice Nicaraguan binder tobacco and premium filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
Only 1500 boxes of Gatekeeper Diamond Press are being produced for global distribution. Retail price per cigar has been set to $12.75, before any applicable taxes (international pricing will vary). Tobacconists securing reservations should expect delivery in late April.

Gatekeeper is the third cigar line to be produced in the Limtied Edition Diamond Press shape, preceded by the Nica Puro Diamond Rough Cut and Black Market Estelí Diamond Press. Gatekeeper Diamond Press is being produced at Tobacos de Oriente – Danlí, Honduras.

First created as a gift from Rubin brothers, Alec and Bradley, to their father, Alec Bradley founder Alan Rubin, the sampler contains 8 cigars sized at 4 1/4″ X 60 ring gauge. Uniting two cigars each of Alan’s Black Market and Magic Toast blends with two cigars each of Alec & Bradley’s Gatekeeper and Kintsugi blends, only 2000 samplers will be produced. Chunk sizes of Gatekeeper and Kintsugi are exclusive to this sampler, while Black Market Chunk’s regular production is limited to Canada. Magic Toast Chunk is a globally available item. Alec Bradley is pre-selling the samplers exclusively to US appointed tobacconists now, with shipping scheduled for the end of May, ahead of the Father’s Day sale season. MSRP has been set to $74.95 per sampler.
