The Blaze Report:

Appearance:

The cigar had an box press evenly colored brown wrapper with some tooth and a heavy pre-light smell of some earth and spice.  Silky to the touch with an aromatic wrapper and a slight bit of resistance on the draw.

1st Third:

There was a very smooth draw that delivered dense clouds of full flavored smoke.  A creamy texture followed by a slight peppery spice on the finish.  Some rich earthy tones with some cedar and cocoa note on the palate and in the aroma.

2nd Third:

The aroma and flavor continued to develop and intensify, delivering a very rich and full flavored, luring character with a subtle yet present bold body. Creamy texture continued to develop along with a noticeable great medium body.

Final Third:

There was a mostly even burn that produced a very solid, nearly black ash.  Some peppery spices continued to develop with some deep and rich, earthy tobacco notes.  The aroma also continued to intensify with richer earthiness flavor.

Making the Grade

Final Thoughts:

A medium body with outstanding overall construction.  The flavor continued to develop and the aroma became full and robust as the cigar burned.  Extremely well made.  An outstanding unique and flavorful cigar that could easily be enjoyed beyond a nub and not hurt the palate. A lasting impression.
