The Blaze Report:
Appearance:
A large cigar that had a menacing appearance with a dark oily wrapper. Somewhat solid to the touch this earthy stick smells great. A pre-light smell was enough to engage the senses for some time before lighting: rich cocoa, fermented tobacco and deep hay like notes.
This cigar had a nice lite oily two tone brown wrapper with a subtle earthy but rich pre-light smell. Solid to the touch this earthy stick smells great. The foot has much more rich notes of light cocoa hay like notes as well.
1st Third:
A very slight resistance on the draw and right away the cigar provided a huge aroma that filled the room with very rich tobacco notes and some earthy bean like tones. A nice spiciness through the nose along with a creamy texture on the palate.

2nd Third:
Once lit, a rich aroma immediately filled the air with subtle spices, cocoa powder and earthy tobacco notes. Some white peppery spic quickly developed especially when retro-haling the smoke through the nose. Great full flavored smoke through to the palate and nose. Nice slow and even burn producing a dense gray ash.

Final 3rd:
Comfortably into the 3rd the cigar had an incredibly smooth draw and easily provided a lot of smoke to the palate. The cigar could be left unattended and you could easily pick it back up without relighting. The aroma and flavor continued to develop with some hints of wood and earthiness.

Making the Grade
Final Thoughts:
The burn was slow and even while the cigar continued to gain body strength as it was smoked with a long and full flavored finish. It had a great rich aroma from beginning to the end. An extremely well made cigar that is sure to leave a lasting impression. It offered a lot of well-developed flavor with upfront characters and a medium body and flavors.
