Garrison Brothers Lady Bird Bourbon

Introducing Lady Bird. This delightful spirit is delicately infused with Burleson’s Wildflower Honey then finished in Cognac XO Casks sourced from France. Like her elegant and honorable namesake, Lady Bird is a delectable double-finished spirit rich with ambrosial notes of cognac and honey that we are proud to share with the world. Here’s to soaking in nature’s awe-inspiring beauty. Salud! Like all of our bourbons, Lady Bird begins its life as our distinguished Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey. Master Distiller Donnis Todd selects barrels of this nectar that already display notes of honey, and delicately infuses them with Burleson’s Texas Wildflower Honey for an additional 8–9 months. The liquid then ages in exquisite French Cognac XO casks for an additional 3 years, resulting in a harmonious blend of unparalleled flavor and elegance. This double-finished masterpiece reflects the perfect balance between sweet honey notes and the rich complexity of cognac. The Blaze Report:

Appearance:

This cigar had a dark and rugged appearance with an oily wrapper that had a sandy feel to the touch.  There was a bold pre-light nose with a lot of earthy characteristics.

1st Third:

A smooth draw offered generous amounts of full flavored smoke.  The flavor had more earthy tones and a slight espresso like bitterness with the addition of black pepper spices and cocoa notes in the aroma.

2nd Third:

The draw allowed full, dense and creamy smoke to the palate with ease.  There were a lot of peppery spices in the taste with a lot of pepper through the nose.  Some sweet note that developed into a nutty characteristic

Final 3rd:

The spiciness was consistent although a creaminess developed on the palate as the cigar was smoked. Bold and rich cigar that developed very well in the final 3rd.  There was a nice spice in the taste and aroma, with a really nice medium body overall.  Staying in the mix earthy cocoa notes developed and sweet undertones.
