CAO Launches Limited Edition America 250th Cigar

CAO INTRODUCES AMERICA 250TH ANNIVERSARY, A NEW ALL-AMERICAN PURO

CAO is honoring 250 years since 1776 with the release of CAO America 250th Anniversary, a limited-edition cigar that reimagines one of the brand’s most iconic and celebrated blends in a new box-pressed format.

Built entirely from American-grown tobacco, CAO America 250th Anniversary is a true American puro. The blend features a barber pole wrapper of U.S. Broadleaf and Connecticut Shade, a U.S. Havana Connecticut binder, and a filler blend composed of U.S. Broadleaf and Pennsylvania tobaccos.

Originally introduced in 2007, CAO America became a standout within the brand’s portfolio, known for its distinctive barber pole wrapper combining U.S. Broadleaf and Connecticut Shade and earning a loyal following among enthusiasts.

As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary in July, CAO builds on the foundation by evolving the original concept into a true American puro, extending U.S.-grown tobacco throughout the entire blend.

“CAO has built its reputation on exploring tobaccos from around the world,” said Cory Beardsley, Brand Manager for CAO. “With America 250th, we focused on what can be achieved using tobacco grown right here in the U.S. It’s a cigar that stays true to what made the original America stand out, while bringing a new level of precision to the blend.”

CAO America 250th Anniversary will be available in a single 5.5 x 55 box-pressed Robusto and packaged in boxes of 10 cigars. The cigar was handcrafted at STG Estelí and will begin shipping to retailers nationwide on May 4, 2026. Suggested retail price is $9.99 per cigar.
