The acclaimed Chunk series is adding another heavyweight to the lineup with the introduction of Alec Bradley Chunk Sumatra, the third dedicated cigar in the Chunk family.

FROM FRONTMARK TO FULL-FLEDGED CIGAR LINE

The Chunk name has come a long way.

What started as a frontmark for various Alec Bradley cigars has evolved into a dedicated collection of its own.

The Chunk family now includes:

  • Chunk Maduro
  • Chunk Shade
  • Chunk Sumatra

And if you’re familiar with the Chunk series, you already know one thing:

CHUNK DOESN’T DO SMALL.

The newest addition keeps that tradition alive while bringing a distinctive wrapper and flavor profile to the lineup.

MEET CHUNK SUMATRA

As the name suggests, Chunk Sumatra features an Ecuadorian Shade wrapper, paired with a USA Broadleaf binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Honduras.

The cigar is produced in Honduras and is described as medium-bodied.

The blend:

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Shade
Binder: USA Broadleaf
Filler: Dominican Republic, Nicaragua & Honduras
Made in: Honduras
Body: Medium

WHAT’S IN THE SMOKE?

According to Alec Bradley, Chunk Sumatra delivers tasting notes centered around:

๐Ÿ‚ Dried Fruit
๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Spices
๐ŸŒฒ Cedar

The result is a medium-bodied profile designed to deliver the big smoking experience associated with the Chunk name while offering a smoother and more nuanced character.

And that’s an interesting combination for cigar smokers looking for plenty of size without necessarily reaching for a powerhouse profile.

A BIG CIGAR WITH AN APPROACHABLE PRICE

Bradley Rubin, Alec Bradley Brand Ambassador, described Chunk as one of the brand’s favorite recurring traditions and said the new Sumatra release maintains the big and bold smoking experience associated with the series while offering a smoother profile and strong value at its price point.

That’s a pretty straightforward mission:

BIG CIGAR. BIG PRESENCE. APPROACHABLE PRICE.

THREE SIZES. THREE LEVELS OF CHUNK.

Alec Bradley Chunk Sumatra will launch in three oversized formats:

SizeDimensionsSRP Per Cigar
XL4 x 60$6.49
3XL4 x 66$8.49
4XL4 x 80$9.49

And yes โ€” that 4 x 80 is exactly as massive as it sounds.

BOX CONFIGURATIONS

The Chunk Sumatra will be packaged as follows:

XL โ€” 20-count box

3XL โ€” 20-count box

4XL โ€” 18-count box

The cigars will begin shipping to retailers in October 2026.

That means cigar shops should start seeing these oversized additions hit shelves this fall.

THE AVERAGE JOE’S CIGAR TAKE

There’s something fun about a cigar that doesn’t apologize for its size.

Chunk Sumatra is built to stand out.

A 4 x 60 is already substantial. Move up to the 3XL at 4 x 66, and then take it all the way to the 4XL at 4 x 80, and Alec Bradley is clearly leaning into what made the Chunk name memorable in the first place.

But this isn’t just about size.

The Ecuadorian Shade wrapper, USA Broadleaf binder, and blend of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Honduran fillers give Chunk Sumatra its own identity within the Chunk family.

With tasting notes of dried fruit, spices, and cedar and a medium-bodied profile, this newest Chunk brings something different to the table.

BIG SIZE. BOLD STYLE. SMOOTHER PROFILE.

And starting in October 2026, cigar smokers will get their chance to find out what Alec Bradley has packed into this new heavyweight.
