J.C. Newman Introduces Brick House Beginnings Ciento por Ciento, a Five Year Aged TAA Exclusive
Limited to 800 boxes, this Nicaraguan puro features tobaccos grown entirely in Nicaragua.
J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has announced Brick House Beginnings Ciento por Ciento, a limited-edition release available exclusively through members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA).
According to the company’s announcement, the release is scheduled to begin shipping next week to TAA members across the United States. Production is limited to 800 boxes of 10 cigars, with a suggested retail price of $12 per cigar.

Nicaragua From Wrapper to Filler
Handcrafted at J.C. Newman’s PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, Ciento por Ciento is a Nicaraguan puro featuring tobaccos grown in the country’s rich, volcanic soils. Its name translates to “100 percent,” reflecting its entirely Nicaraguan blend.
The cigar features a Habana-seed wrapper grown in the Jalapa Valley, paired with binder and filler tobaccos sourced from three of Nicaragua’s mountainous regions.
Part of the occasional Brick House Beginnings series of well-aged cigars, this release has been aged for five years.

A Brand Rooted in Family History
Brick House traces its origins to 1937, when J.C. Newman founder Julius Caeser Newman first introduced the brand. Fourth-generation owner Drew Newman explains that the name honors the home where his great-grandfather was born in 1875.
The home stood apart as the village’s only house built from brick, earning it the name that would later inspire the cigar brand.
