A richer expression of the anniversary collaboration brings an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper, four sizes and exclusive brick-and-mortar availability.

Altadis U.S.A. is expanding its collaboration with master blender Christian Eiroa with the introduction of the Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro. The new release builds on the original anniversary cigar, celebrating a partnership that began in 1996.

The original Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary debuted at the April 2026 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, reuniting the brand with Eiroa, who developed the original Saint Luis Rey blend three decades earlier. The Maduro continues that collaboration with a blend designed to offer a richer, more intense experience.

A Maduro With Honduran Roots

Handmade in Honduras, the Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro features an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper over a Honduran Corojo binder, with Colombian Pinareño and Honduran Corojo fillers.

Altadis describes the cigar as medium-to-full in strength, with tasting notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit and roasted coffee.

“The Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro represents the continuation of a chapter we began in 1996 but never had the opportunity to bring to market,” said Christian Eiroa.

Eiroa explained that the goal was to preserve the original blend’s distinctive foundation while creating a richer expression that remains true to Saint Luis Rey’s character.

Exclusive to Brick-and-Mortar Retailers

Like the original anniversary release, the Maduro will be sold exclusively through brick-and-mortar retailers.

Marina Tuntes, Brand Manager at Altadis U.S.A., said the response to the first anniversary cigar demonstrated an appreciation for the collaboration’s history and authenticity. The Maduro provides another opportunity to expand the portfolio while supporting traditional cigar retailers.

The cigar is scheduled to debut at the late October 2026 Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) meeting, giving attendees a first look before its national retail rollout. Shipments are scheduled to begin by the 2027 PCA Trade Show.

Four Sizes, Black-and-Gold Presentation

The Maduro retains the anniversary collection’s black-and-gold identity and will come in 25-count wooden cabinet-style boxes. Suggested retail prices range from $12 to $13.50 per cigar.
