No.11 Best Cigar Pick of 2014 “Sublimes Cigars”
Sublimes Cigars is a bit of a hidden gem, having been sold mostly in just South Florida since 2004. It was in not until 2011 that the brand went national. Initially hand-rolled in Little Havana, demand for SUBLIMES has increased to the point that operations have moved from their Miami headquarters to Estelí, Nicaragua.
The Sublimes has an old world, traditional look. The wrapper is reddish brown with a medium pre-light nose – you will get plenty of wood, earth and spice.
The resistance was slight and it had a very smooth draw that eventually gave way to lots of smoke. It has a slow even burn with a rich aroma of full flavors, including a bit of pepper.
My overall impression of the Sublimes is that while it is a medium body cigar, it has a great complexity of flavors. With its good construction and smooth draw, Sublimes Cigars is a very enjoyable smoke.
