No. 5 Best Cigar Pick of 2014 “7-20-4 Hustler Cigar”
Kurt A. Kendall always had a fascination for old cigar memorabilia and collected anything he could get his hands on. After years in the industry, he had the idea to bring back the 7-20-4. After acquiring the defunct trademark, Kurt got to work reproducing this fine cigar and making it from one of the finest blends available.
The Hustler cigar has a barber pole wrapper made from Brazilian Mata Fina and Ecuadorian Connecticut. It is Kurt A. Kendall’s first barber pole stick line of cigars. There is a nice blue band at the foot and neck of the cigar. Once lit it, it gave off a bold rich aroma with nice white smoke. A smooth draw gave plenty of full flavored smoke on the palate.
This medium body cigar is well made and offers a lot of complexity and rich flavor. Three quarters of the way through, I was introduced to a creamy texture on my palate; however, there are plenty of robust flavors throughout the smoke that are easy to enjoy. The Hustler is an effortless smoke with a long and tasty finish. A real pleasure to smoke!
