Brand History:

T.L. Johnson is a manufacturer of premium-handcrafted cigars, whose mission is to produce a superior line of boutique cigars that cater to the new and experienced smoker. These premium cigars are handmade from the world’s finest tobaccos for superior taste and refined elegance.

Located in beautiful central Colorado, T.L. Johnson Cigars is a modest company owned and operated by avid cigar smokers. With an eye for old school quality and complexity of the cigars of the past, T.L. Johnson strives to stay ahead of the competition.

They partnered with Clay Carlton, a master blender in Denver, Colorado. Their goal was to create a cigar with light nuances of flavor, a robust quality, and a smooth draw.

They hope you will share in their appreciation for the finest in lifestyle products with an edge.

Appearance:

The Tempio has a slightly rustic, oily, and hearty appearance. There is a great pre-light smell with some sweet earthiness. Evenly colored dark and some noticeable tooth.

Journey Profile:

1st quarter: At first there is a slight resistance on the draw, but yet very smooth with some affluent undertones. Lots of full flavored smoke to the palate.   2nd quarter: Full flavors with a slow build in earth, cedar and some nuttiness. Along with creaminess with lingering spice on the palate.   3rd quarter: A creamy smoke with certain rich textures and aromas that intensified along with the body.   4th quarter: Big creamy texture with light earthy tones and some noticeable spice. Outstanding burn with a long and dense gray ash. An incredibly long lingering finish, which was very enjoyable.

Final Thoughts:

Extremely well made with rich flavors and a long finish. Excellent construction with a slow and even burn. Medium bodied to almost full with a well balance of flavors. Some creamy texture and luring aroma. Nice complexity and easy to enjoy.
