“Earthy floral tone” CZ Constitution Cigar Review.

Brand History:

CZ Cigars is proud to introduce their new line of premium handmade cigars.  The cigars are hand made in Estelí Nicaragua at the famous “Cathedral” factory.  All of CZ tobacco is aged a minimum of three years before blending and undergoes the highest quality assurance measures in the industry.  In this first offering they have two lines, Indie and Metal, with more to come in the near future.

CZ Cigars is a company that was founded by current and former members of the Law Enforcement community as well as the Military.  As such, they have a profound respect and appreciation for those who serve and offer special prices to those patrons.  They have also demonstrated an interest in the music business, partnering with Denver’s Core Zero, a Los Angeles Music Awards nominee for Best New Metal Band of 2011.

Appearance:

This cigar is silky smooth and offers a creamy brown wrapper with an oily sheen.  There was a slightly sweet aroma on the pre-light with an earthy floral tone.  Overall, it was very pleasant.

Journey Profile:

1st quarter: An effortless draw allowed some very light bodied smoke through with a touch of sweet tones.  Some sweet cedar notes developed along with an excellent draw that offered no resistance and delivered big clouds of a mild flavor smoke.  2nd quarter: A very easy draw allowed a lot of light flavored smoke to hit the palate.  Nice and easy light characters with very little complexity continued developing.  There was also a rich aroma with some woody flavors.  3rd quarter: A good construction produced a great even burn with a dense ash.  Some mild sweetness was evident within the big, alluringly rich aroma.  4th quarter: The body remained light with medium aroma and flavors.  A smooth and consistent draw delivered big clouds of creamy smoke.  Notes of wood and toast were introduced with a mild spice in the nose.  Refined characters were well balanced on the palate.

Final Thoughts:

The CZ Constitution Cigar offered a light tobacco flavor with an overall sweet aroma and tone.  Its good construction produces a great burn and long ash, and its smoke delivers a very creamy texture.  It is an easygoing and pleasant cigar to enjoy.
