Appearance :
A gorgeous light oily-brown wrapper that has no blemishes. The size and shape of the Diadema is just amazing anything but your traditional cigar shape. Subtle aroma of earthiness and cedar on the wrapper and a cocoa like on the pre-light draw and at the foot.
Journey Profile:
1st Third:
Big aroma and flavor profile filled with earthy notes and spices in the nose. A slight resistance on the draw getting a graham cracker like sweetness. The turned effortless and provided a lot of flavorful smoke.
2nd Third:
Very smooth draw with almost honey-like sweet flavors and aroma with earthiness and a creamy texture. Nicely into the second third and wow how the Decadas opens up. The draw then produced a lot of spicy smoke both through the nose and on the palate. A pretty much even burn held a long salt and pepper gray ash.
Final 3rd:
Sweet notes in the aroma with spice intensified through the nose and onto the palate. More of a cocoa and cedar aroma with a creamy texture an almost leathery quality of the smoke ending ending on the palate. A nicely overall 3rd with mouthwatering flavors.
Final Thoughts:
Fairly complex with a medium-full body. Effortless al the way to the nub with a lot of up front flavors with an overall spices character. Gradually build in body with a full and long finish. Plenty of sweetness to the smoke and an creamy character. Consistent flavor profile with an incredible smooth draw giving a perfect amount of balance.
