HAVANA CLUB PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE EXCELLENCE OF CUBAN RUM WITH THE UNVEILING OF HAVANA CLUB TRIBUTO 2021

Havana Club, the leading global rum in the super-premium and above category1 , has announced the sixth instalment in its ultra-prestige, highly anticipated Tributo collection with Havana Club Tributo 2021.

Launched for the first time in 2016, the limited-edition series pays tribute to the unrivalled excellence in Cuban rum and celebrates the know-how of the Maestros del Ron Cubano, Masters of Cuban Rum. Each edition showcases the unparalleled art and passion of blending, transformed by the ultimate touch of hand given by the Maestros.

 

 

Havana Club Tributo 2021 is sourced from a batch of 100 exclusive Tributo casks never used before, and then matured exclusively in special white port casks from the Douro Valley. Created by Havana Club’s Maestro del Ron Cubano, Asbel Morales, the coveted rum builds a bridge with the very first edition of the collection by hand-selecting exquisite rum bases inspired by the original Havana Club Tributo 2016 release, which had been kept and re-aged and finished in Portuguese white port barrels.

The resulting rum is a marriage between blend and barrel, delivering a delectably rounded flavour enhanced by subtle hints of grapes, nuts, and coffee, encapsulating the art of this expression.

The luxurious rum is presented in a dark wooden box that distinguishes the opulence of the collection with alluring golden and olive-green accents reflecting the colours of Portugal where the distinctive barrels were derived from. Each bottle is numbered and personalised with Maestro del Ron Cubano,

Asbel Morales signature, the ultimate pledge of quality and superiority.

Bottled at 40% ABV, Havana Club Tributo 2021 was unveiled at the virtual

Festival del Habano in May and is now available in X at the RRP of €400.

Bottled at 40% ABV, Havana Club Tributo 2021 is presented at the virtual Habano Festival and will be available in about 15 international markets (mainly in Europe) at the RRP of €400. In Cuba, it will be marketed before the end of May at a price of 11,500 CUP, in selected clients.

Deep amber with dark and reddish reflections

Aroma

Aromatic, without aggressiveness, with outstanding notes of cane honey intertwined with raisins and red fruits, letting place to some smooth dry fruits and floral hints for the final nose.

Flavour

Exceptionally intense and complex on the palate, subtle bouquet with balance and personality in the mouth. Mastered

balance between dry fruits and ripe nuts that combines with more classical sweet chocolate and spices hints.

Final Note Long and smooth finish on the palate with pleasant tobacco and coffee flavours that lasts for minutes.
