The Story Behind Prometheus Bound
The artwork featured throughout the collection draws inspiration from Prometheus Bound (1611–1612), painted by Peter Paul Rubens.
In Greek mythology, Prometheus stole fire from Zeus, king of the Olympian gods, and gave it to humanity. As punishment, Zeus ordered Prometheus bound to a desolate rock, where an eagle would attack him. Despite his suffering, Prometheus endured his punishment for the benefit of mankind.
Rubens’ painting portrays this enduring struggle and the courage of a figure remembered for bringing fire and knowledge to humanity. This legendary story provides a fitting inspiration for the God of Fire name and the collection’s anniversary designs.
Celebrating 35 Years of Passion and Excellence
As Prometheus approaches its 35th anniversary in 2027, the company acknowledges the customers, friends, and collectors who have supported its journey over the years.
The company expressed its gratitude for the encouragement and support it has received from customers around the world, emphasizing its continued commitment to passion, quality, and excellence.
