“Floral and rich aroma” Moscato “La Vita” Cigar Review.

Brand History:

Founded by the Moscato Brothers, Moscato Cigars are premium handmade cigars that use a unique process to give a sweet, smooth and well-rounded smoking experience.  They use the finest Honduran tobaccos as part of their essential Moscato aromatic blending process.

The Moscato wine name is the world’s fastest growing wine varietal.  “National Moscato Day” is now recognized annually by the US Wine Industry.  Gaining popularity with a younger, more hip, urban and online buyer, Moscato name recognition has skyrocketed over the last four years.

The Moscato Lifestyle is redefining luxury in infused cigars.  Moscato brand loyalty has led to the development of a comprehensive media program, along with merchandise and packaging to complement this new generation of cigar buyers.

 Appearance:

The Moscato La Vita has a creamy brown wrapper that’s smooth to the touch.  A floral and rich aroma with light tobacco notes on the pre-light.  Silky texture sweetness up front with no visible seams.

Journey Profile:

1st quarter: The same sweetness and flavor present in the pre-light carried into the start of the cigar once lit, and it was also present in the aroma.  There was some spice through the nose but a dominating creaminess was detectable.  While a slight resistance on the draw, it still provided a generous amount of smoke that hit the palate.  2nd quarter: A good burn developed with a flaky and dark gray ash.  There was a gradual build in both the smoke and its flavor that let a lot of light and creamy smoke through.  Spice continued to develop through the nose.  3rd quarter: A very rich and sweet aroma was consistent and very alluring.  An even burn held onto a long and flaky ash with spice hitting the palate.  4th quarter: In this portion there was a floral aroma with a dominating creamy texture.  A slight spiciness developed with an underlying unique and sweet earthiness.  While the spice intensified through the nose, it eventually returned back to an earthy texture.

Final Thoughts:

There are plenty of flavors in the Moscato La Vita along with big aroma.  It is a mild-medium body with a full-flavored character.  Its overall good construction allowed for a smooth draw and makes it an easygoing, pleasant cigar.
