“Very elegant” “BMC” Blue Mountain Cigar El Threesome Cigar Review.
Brand History
Blue Mountain Cigars is a family owned and operated business dedicated to uncompromising quality and customer satisfaction. In April 1995, cigar connoisseur and entrepreneur Marvin Wright started a cigar factory with his wife Jacqueline.
Born and raised in Jamaica, Marvin was the son of an entrepreneur who grew tobacco. After completing his studies, Marvin moved to Cuba where he developed his own passion and appreciation for premium cigars. This ultimately brought him to Nicaragua.
Today in Nicaragua, Marvin utilizes many of the old Jamaican traditions in cigar making, combined with many of the techniques and philosophies he learned from growers and master blenders in Cuba.
Appearance:
This cigar has a very elegant look with an incredibly rich pre-light smell at the foot. There are some noticeable oils along with a floral and cedar aroma. The tri-colored wrapper has a unique and very rich appearance.

Journey Profile:
1st quarter: Right away, the cigar provided big aroma that filled the air with some very rich tobacco and earthy notes. Hints of spices grew as the cigar progressed. There was a creamy texture on the palate with more spice through the nose. 2nd quarter: On the draw there was a slow even burn that produced a salt and pepper, flaky ash. It provided an exceptionally rich aroma along with a hint of cedar and a sweet undertone. Full flavor smoke along with a bit of spice lingered on the palate. 3rd quarter: Spicy notes were very forward, especially through the nose. There were consistently sweet undertones on the palate as well as some woody notes. Full flavors changed in their character as the flavors and body strength developed towards a full body. Interestingly full flavor characters with an underlying medium body grew at each draw. 4th quarter: Some spices continued through into the aroma and on the palate. The flavor continued to develop, leaving a lasting impression for the full yet subtle body. A nicely rich and alluring aroma with deep earthy and cedar notes remained
.
Final Thoughts:
The complexity and flavor of the BMC Threesome really came forward in the second half of the smoke in a way that was not overwhelming. It has very intriguing flavors along with many complex tones both in the aroma and on the palate. The cigar maintains a smooth creamy texture throughout and offers a bold, full-flavored finish. It is a very unique cigar with outstanding construction and is effortless to smoke.
